Baby is a little bit smelly

Before I became a Dad, I had chance to touch little baby's hand and feet but that it is. I have never spent any real time with any baby. Sarah is absolutely a little angel. But she is a little bit smelly:-) I am pretty good at changing diaper now. When it is my duty, I check her regularly to see if there is any stool or urine in the diaper. How do I do it? I put my nose close to her diaper and smell it:-)  It works but doesn't feel super:-( I also found Sarah's room is always a little bit smelly no matter how much cleaning work I do.  I may have to wait the day Sarah stop using diaper. When?

Hhaha!!! Yes, babies are smelly. I guess they never covered that in the PRIDE course eh. :-)

The diapers do smell bad. One of the tricks to preventing the room from smelling is to get rid of the stinky diapers right away - i.e. don't put them in a garbage in the room. Another thing you can do is get one of those diaper garbages that seals the diaper into a plastic bag after every use. It helps prevent the stink. Do that and empty out the diaper garbage as often as possible - every day if possible. That should help cut down or eliminate the smell :)

Get rid of dirty diapers right away. But if she is in the room and poops while having a nap that smell stays in the room for a bit. We have a diaper genie in the bathroom but even that smells. There is no easy solution. Run downstairs and dispose in the garbage outside.
